RNS 510 Freaky Problem

Hey hentailboy, I had the exact same issue you had. I installed my antenna is the place you have yours, tucked up that space. Thing is, it worked fine for a month and then suddenly wouldn't lock onto any satellites. So I did as some have suggested here and put antenna on top of the dash to see if that helped, and within a few minutes locked onto several satellites. So I now have mine stuck to the windscreen, just behind the rear view mirror. It's worked perfectly since. Hope this helps.

I upgraded the map to Ver.4.1 in the weekend. After driving around for around 20 mins the unit fixed on the satellites and has been fine since. So I still think that the problem is software/car related rather than antenna.

Oops - just crapped out again. I'll try an alternative antenna placement
