Hi All,
Was helping a friend move house today, and had my Octavia RS wagon loaded up. Driving down a side street some idiot opened his door about 4 metres in front of me and I had to slam on the brakes to avoid taking his leg off. Unfortunately an aluminium pole from a laundry hamper flew between the seats and slammed into the RNS 510 LCD panel. I didn't notice straight away, but after driving off and having a closer look I discovered it has damaged the panel and there is now about an 8mm section of the panel that is pixelated and blacked out behind the glass.
Anyone got any suggestions at all about how I might rectify this? The car is only 5 months old, and I'm really really p*ssed that such an expensive and integral component of the car is now damaged. Is there an affordable solution to fix this? Can panels be replaced? Replacing the entire unit is not really an option as I can't justify the cost.
Would be very grateful for any suggestions.
Cheers
