  • HTC Andriod Torque BHP software

Just thought I'd share my thoughts on Torque BHP (Andriod software) that I downloaded for my HTC Incredible S.
Also ordered a Bluetooth adaptor for the OBD2 port which I received today from ebay.

Absolutly fantastic, has the following features:
•View live OBD engine data on your Android phone - Connect to your vehicle ECU
•Fully customisable dashboard screens - Design your own layouts and custom dials, use your own themes
•Retrieve Fault Codes (DTCs) and clear Check Engine lights - View fault descriptions using the built-in databases
•Upload live OBD2 data to your webserver or the torque web viewer in realtime
•Check the performance of your vehicle with BHP / Torque / Boost / Coolant Temp / 0-60 & Quarter Mile widgets and much more.

The software has also allowed me to retrive a fault code for my car which is booked in with VW for repair.

All up cost me about $30, and works very well.

That's cool. Where did you get the BT for the OBD2 port from?

The Bluetooth adapter is made by PLX Devices and its called Kiwi, there are cheaper ones but this one allows you to manually turn the adapter off with out removing it. Mine was bought from ebay. Torque BHP has a list of recommended adapters.

Yeah, if you don't mind posting the link for the ebay item

All the kiwi ones cost over $100. So $30 all up is really good price?!

I've been wanting to buy the torque sw for my X10.

There are cheaper Bluetooth adapters which you could try, but some of them seem to cheap to be any good, but the software is awesome.

I purchased Torque a while ago, maybe 6 months. I havnt really used it since, because it didnt pick-up many of the GTI sensors. Can anyone comment if Boost is now available, might have to give it another go.

You could check in the market, if there was an update available.
