  • RNS Reception

    Hi guys,

Just a quick one...installed the RNS the other day (MK6 GTI), didn’t bother with removing the vents to place the GPS antenna. Just wanted to know what the norm was in regards to satellite reception. I often lock onto on average between 5-7 satellites out of a possible 9-13. Is still has no real trouble picking up my location but was thinking if it was worth removing the vents and placing it further up if it meant better reception/accuracy.

    Cheers

I pretty sure this is the norm for a under the dash puck. Surely not worth moving as it only requires 3 satellites to get a fix anyway so obtaining 13 is no better with regards to accuracy or speed
