  • RNS510 import music to the HDD - what would be nice...

    is it me, or is the process of getting music on to the HDD flawed?

    plugging a USB stick into the MDI does NOT enable the 'copy' option

    only plugging the SD card in seems to allow copying to the HDD, and even then its an all or nothing option.

    I cannot smart select individual tracks or folders. Instead my RNS copied over every thing on the usb stick - word files, images and a whole bunch of junk, i then needed to individually delete from the HDD once the copy process is complete.

    would be nice if;
    you could smart tag files before copying began.
    you could smart tag multiple items for deletion
    you could copy tracks off a usb stick

    ...come to think of it would be nice if you could play video from more than just a dvd source disk. Funny I always thought thats what the MDI was for. M for Media not just Music

    Come on VTub make this an option in your next firmware release

    Not sure what you're doing mate, but you can definitely do folder level copies from the SD card to the HDD. I used a 16GB card from my camera, with all the pics etc on it, had no issue just copying the Music folder I'd made on there and nothing else.
