    Hey Robbie,

I can help you out. I'm currently in Putney but moving this weekend to Baulkham Hills.. Might be able to spare some time on Sunday though if you like. Can come out to you if you prefer.

I have a set of trim removal tools and vag-com VCDS as well as I just did my install and upgrade from a RCD500 to a RNS510.

Thats list realistically is a full days work mate. I have done all of the above myself. I'd say it is about $500 bucks of labour in those tasks. Why don't you do them yourself?

Without being rude, I would only do it for the $500 mentioned above.

Mate, you need to have a look at what you are asking.

You want some help. I have told you that there is a lot of work there that can be mostly done DIY. I have also told you that it would be a days effort. You asked me if I would help you, and I said I would, but at a price.

You could use the following guides and do it all yourself as I said before.

                        Bumper:
                        HOW TO fit a genuine GTI bumper to a mk5 - uk-mkivs

                        Skirts:
How to fit R32/Gti Skirts to a MkV - uk-mkivs

                        CANBUS install:
CAN bus gateway removing, installing and upgrading – Volkswagen Golf | my-gti.com

                        RNS install:
                        Upgrading 2nd generation headunits (RCD 300, RCD 500, MFD2) to 3rd generation headunits (RCD 210, RCD 310, RNS 310, RNS 510, RCD 510) | my-gti.com

                        Best of luck with it.

To be fair, Mikinoz has re built more than half of his MK1 in the last 12 months I have known him. I too have rebuilt half an engine but I'm still asking him for advice.

Further to that he has owned a MK5 and has done all of the above mods himself.

If you want experience he's your man but you gotta pay to play.

Rob. As has been the experience of most on this forum, is to try DIY first on your car, even to the point of cocking it up, then upon showing said initiative, people will help you, if you ask nicely and have a grasp of basic grammar.
