Brains trust,

I note a comment here that the Golf style, recessed into the handle reverse camera is available and has been fitted to a local Polo.

I contacted the local Melbourne dealer for a price and was quoted $1099 plus installation!! Yikes!!

Does anyone know the part number so that I can look into other options?

that's the RRP, dealers they say $xxx amount then you negotiate to $xx amount... LOL

Yep, aware of the tricks.
Does anyone know if the handle recessed camera is common to other vehicles? I see they are about $600 online from the UK and Germany

Just a word of warning; I researched this and found that the installation causes an issue with water entering the cavity of the boot door [Only I can't remember which website I saw it on]. Have a good search on the internet and you should be able to find how to hook up some basic plumbing to get rid of excess water and keep your electronic components dry.
