RNS510\MDI\iPod - MP3 Distortion

I get a lot of distortion playing MP3's through the iPod\MDI (factory). I know MP3's are generally not that good in terms of sound quality but the tracks sound fine on the iPod, PC and home stereo.

I may try copying some of them across the the HDD; the problem is I have a number of m4a files that the RNS510 just wont play.

Check out this post in the MDI niggles thread. You may need to correct the voltage setting for your iPod, to eliminate the distortion. Common problem, easily fixed.

The headphone jack isn't part of the MDI, and the OP stated he was using the MDI.

cool that has fixed it although my menu does not have an actual voltage value just hight, medium or low. Played around with each option and medium seems to work for me.
