  • RNS-510 and Bluetooth B Module - Phone Button

    Hi Everyone,

Hoping someone can help me as I'm ripping my hair out!!!

I've installed the B Skoda bluetooth module as I have a red MFD.

I've coded the steering wheel to 0013122 as per instructions and also matches the VCDS description of the numbers.

The star button initiates voice control. But the phone button does nothing...doesn't answer or hang up calls or bring up the phone menu on MFD.

I see in Swallowtail's options post that he didn't follow the instructions or Ross-Tech...does someone have a steering wheel code that allows the phone button to work? I have a MkV Golf.

    Excerpt of Swallowtail's post:

"Check coding in VAGCOM (slightly different to what the websites out there say and also from what the Ross-Tech software says for steering wheel control). ... The star button on the steering wheel initiates voice control, and the phone button answers / terminates a call."

Done a bit of a search and I think I have the answer....you can't use the phone button with a B version Bluetooth Skoda module.

Judging by Swallowtail's R36 being in the 2nd half of the year means he has a white MFD and has used a Skoda module to suit...meaning not B version...hence why he can get the phone button to work?

I've reprogrammed the steering wheel back to what it was previously...giving me the mute button at least when pressing star.

I can answer and terminate calls via MFD.

    Cheers.
