  • 9ZB bluetooth (MY11+) with 2 phones?

    Hi all,

I'm still waiting for a build date for the golf R, but I have a bluetooth question while I wait:

Can the MY11 bluetooth (option 9ZB) be paired with two phones at once? How does this unit behave if both phones are in the car at once?

The reason I ask is that I carry two phones most of the time (1 work, 1 personal), but I can see this happening when two drivers (husband+wife, etc) both want to use bluetooth...

    Thanks in advance

It will pair with the phone that was last paired with the particular key that is being used.

Unfortunately don't think you can do two phones as this would fuzz up most of the functions on the MFD. Also, which phone would it know to use when making calls??

Yeah, I have 2 phones paired... can't use them at the same time. It just connects to the last one it did. A lot of BT kits are like that... bit of a pain, to connect another phone, switch it off or turn off BT and connect the other...

You can't connect two simultaneously but it's simple to change between phones using just the phone menu on the MFD where you will be able to select which phone you want to connect to. You can change the name of the profile as well. As others have mentioned by default it will connect to the last phone that was used. If it fails on that it will then attempt to connect to others on the list.
