  • RNS 510 wouldn't start up

I went to Bowral to day and used the GPS in conjunction with the radio, when i arrived i switched off the car for a couple of hours when i returned and started the engine the
RNS510 stayed blank and i couldn't get it to work, But after traveling a couple of KM it started up by its self.I was starting to think it might of been a fuse .
I drove back home over 100km it it went as expected with no dramas ?
Has this happened to any body else ?

    Hasn't happened to me yet.
Once i had the RNS not read the SD card.
A quick 4 button reset fixed that problem though.

Other than that my only issue is the 1-2 minute wait to find itself for navigation, and the fact that mix will not stay selected when you choose a song to play.

Had a similar thing happen to me a month or so ago. Drove down to the local Bunnings, all OK. Got back in the car, RNS dead - no radio, no OPS, nothing. Tried turning the ignition off and back on again; still no action.
Couldn't have been heat related, as was an underground carpark, and a coolish day.
Anyway, drove 10 minutes up the road; ducked into another store for about 10 minutes; start the car, and all back to normal. Haven't had a problem since.
