No Hands Free After RCD-310 Install

Hi All,

I finally received my replacement can bus gateway after purchasing a faulty one. Picked up the antenna adapter from VW dealer and upgraded my RCD-300 to the RCD-310. I coded the gateway and unit as per my-gti.com and all sweet with the exception of no longer having handsfree. I have a iPhone 3GS with a Parrot V5.0c VW fitted handsfree. Since I installed the RCD-310, the iPhone pairs with the Parrot V5.0c but I can no longer make or receive handsfree calls.

Has anyone experienced this before or perhaps help me understand what the problem is? Thank you in advance.

Yes i changed a RCD 500 to an RCD 310 in my Passat for different reasons, and have a VW bury bluetoth kit in mine, the hands free does exactly the same as yours connects to the phone but will not mute or output thru the stereo.
Can anyone advise??

Hi,
the pinout is a bit different on the new units (310 and 510).
The location for the mute pin has changed to pin 10 on connector 3 in the attached image.
