Hi guys
New member having recently picked up a Jetta 118TSI DSG in platinum grey and so far, pretty happy with it! Looking to upgrade to the RCD 510 however and there is where I run into a small problem which hopefully you can help with.
Looking at one on eBay (seller in Ireland if that helps, not the Lithuania/Latvia one!) and I requested the part number before registering a bid.
The response I got was "Tell me which model car you'll be fitting it to and I'll make sure you get the right unit".
Does this make sense? I know about Fords and Holdens but am just starting to learn about VWs. FWIW my intentions are to fit a 'premium' bluetooth kit (one that will synchronise the phone book, not worried about voice control) and my head is still spinning from reading the 'bluetooth options for RNS 510' thread!
If I'm asking a dumb question feel free to let me know, I promise I won't get upset.
