    RCD510 plus Dynaudion delivery check

    Greetings to the real experts.
    My new Golf is only just a few weeks away.
    So to make sure the Dynaudio 300watt amp accessory to the RCD510 HAS been fitted,
    where should I look on taking delivery?
    Also, for this option, are Dynaudio speakers included with the RCD510 option?

    BTW, I wonder if the 300watt power spec is a bit of BS
    eg, 300watt PMPO perhaps, but 300watt RMS will be really something. (If a genuine 300watt RMS amp, could be talking BIG AMPS from battery)

    (I understand the Dynaudio uses a total of eight seperate amps, one for each speaker, so perhaps the spec is for 300watt PMPO equivalent where effective output of two amps are combined.)

    I believe the speakers have a DynAudio logo on them, so it should be easy to spot. Do a search on YouTube to see other owners showing it off.
    Some say he was the Stig... all we know is that he drives a VW Transporter.

      Yeah, little speakers on the doors (where the mirrors are, but inside) have a little DynAudio lable on them. Also, my RNS510 has a DynAudio logo splash up when I turn it on in the morning, but only when it's been off for hours.

        Was able to find one YouTube with a little Dynaudio logo on the door.
        (I do have a couple of high power Dynaudio tweeters, but they have no name or logo on the front face. However, these are intended for top end domestic use, not automotive)

        BTW, is the high power Dynaudio amp an integral part of RCD510 etc, eg, a monoblock integrated unit, OR is it a seperate amp, perhaps situated under a seat?

          The amp is under the front passengers seat. Its a 4 channel amp and I've been told it is 75w rms x4, total of 300w rms. My system has just reached 100hrs and it's sounding awesome!

            Ah, I wondered about that, as would be a problem for heat vent if inside dash!
            (Good for heating passenger bum during winter?)
            BTW, read somewhere it is actually 8 channel amp, eg, seperate amp's for woofer and tweeter, with digital time alignment for exact phasing. Ultimate system!!

              Did you order leather seats? They would have heaters in them as well - lovely feature

              You'll have to update your signature now since we're in October - I'm sure you'll love the car once you get it. Make sure you take some pics for us too.

                  Fantastic audio. Violin never did sound so transparent.
