RNS510 Coding help please - Been into VW 3 times now for no result

Hi All, I was in at VW for the 3rd time today in order to have the coding on my RNS510 corrected.

My RNS510 is a 3C0035680C model from Europe and I had it fitted here on the Gold Coast by VW. Firmware version is 2660
I have a Oct 2009 Tiguan 103TDI.

What the problem is:

I need to connect the Rns510 with the MFD.

The steering wheel controls: Mute, Change input button and then up down through tracks etc don't work.

However the steering wheel volume up and down work fine.

I can't flick between any options on the MFD for example the Compass has not been added and I can't change between inputs.

Navigation is not showing up in the MFD.

Everything from the unit itself is working perfectly ok.


VW seem to be having trouble getting the changes to hold/save when they change the coding. They tired to tell me today it was because I have a European RNS510?

Is there anyone that can tell me what needs to be done and is there anyone on the Gold coast/Brisbane that could help me out or know where else I could take the car?

Hey mate.
I got my RNS Version C coded for my Tiguan by Mike at Prestige and Performance - Coorparoo.
He said they had a few issues with the coding for the Version C ones but it has worked flawlessly since it has been coded.

are the RNS510 ones on eBay a direct swap onto an MK6 Golf with existing RCD510?
Thinking to get those RNS510 retro-fitted and wondering if my existing BT will keep working with RNS510?
