  • 2010 3 door GTI install

    Folks,

A few pics of my install completed yesterday. Unfortunately due to the dealer stuffing up my order, and forgetting Dynaudio, I had to go the aftermarket route.

I'm using a RNS-510 as a head unit, with MDI, and a Kufatec BT kit.
Amplification is by way of 2 x Alpine MRV-F345 4 channel Amps. Front stage is 17cm alpine X type PRO splits, and the rear is 13cm alpine X type REF splits. Subs are Alpine type S 2OHM DVC 12 inchers, in an Alpine box. Rear ICE is Alpine Ceiling monitor/DVD combo.

    Bye bye boot space!!

Looks super clean though. I got a single 12" Alpine Type S with a 700 RMS Alpine V-Power. It sounds phenomenally loud.. louder than in my old car in which I got 137.6dB out of the same setup. Unfortunately the car audio place installed the amp on the back of the rear left hand seat instead of under the passenger seat like I wanted them to. Oh well still sounds awesome!
