Hey is there a display OFF option available on RNS 510? I cannot find one anywhere, but someone told me that there is an option available. I am not quite sure about the firmware that is used on the system, all I know that VW had upgraded my maps to V3 on last service.

yes there is... it is in the "Extras" menu at the bottom of the screen .. one of the options is to turn off the display. it goes blank and leaves the time display up at the very bottom of the screen. to turn the screen back on just press on the screen.1974 1300 Beetle, 1997 Golf GL, 2003 New Beetle Cabrio, 2014 Audi A4 quattro
