I am looking to swap out RCD500 for RCD510, can anyone point me in the direction of someone (experienced) in Melbourne to do the install or at least update the vagcom coding - whatever that is!

Surelly it would be just plug and play - simple case of pull out your old and put in the new. It depends on what year you're driving. IIRC mid 08 and onwards should be fine, but anything built before that will usually require a new canbus gateway. I'm still investigating this myself as i've just purchased an RCD510 for my 06 GTI, but i've heard it may be possible to simply re-code the old gateway if you know what you're doing with a vag-com.Comment
