RNS510 MDI + iPod Touch

No go? The RNS510 in our Tig isn't recognising my iTouch through the MDI.

I don't know why, but this iPod Touch is designed to be recognised as a digital camera when connected to a computer, f-ing stupid considering it has no capabilities whatsoever to take images.

Can anyone offer any advice?

Are you using the VW "official" ipod cable. itouch works ok on mine.

Nah I'm not, the MDI cable is the VW one but I used the Apple iPod cable. It recognises the iPod but says it's an unsupported device or something along the lines of that.

Pretty sure you need the proper VW cable.

You definitely need the 'ipod' specific cable mate
