RNS-510 automatic day/night maps

Hi All,

Apologies if this has been covered elsewhere - a search didn't reveal much.

I have a 2010 Tiguan, with the RNS-510 factory installed. I think it is the latest version - with voice control etc etc.
Recently, i've noticed it hasn't changed it's map from day to night (and visa versa) automatically, which I swore it did when I first got it.

Am I going nuts here? Is this system supposed to know when it's dark outside (and inside) and adjust it's map automatically? Given the overall intelligence of the car, I would have thought this a pretty basic function?

You can adjust it in the settings menu. The options are Day/Night/Automatic. Select Automatic.
