v-checker what can it do.
Hi I recently upgrade the firmware on my RNS510 to 2680. Overall I am extremely satisfied with this upgrade. Refer to www.my-gti.com for all changes.
In summary can now read a 32 GB sdhc card, split screen with reversing sensors and reversing camera (excellent) nav now gives 3 different routes to choose. The only problems I had HD get formatted so need to load songs back on and maps. What I cannot solve is that the test menu still does not work and the nav and audio menus on the MFD do not work. I have been told I need to do is to set values with a VCDS unit.
My question is will a V-CHECKER CAN-BUS OBD2 SCANNER do what I was told will fix problems see below.
The problem with the maxidot not displaying audio and navigation cab only be solved by VCDS. A dealer/garage should be able to do.
Also the problem with the multi-functional-steering-wheel (the buttons should be solved when the maxidot is fixed.
How to do :
- Using Vagcom/VCDS -> 37–Navigation -> go into 07-Coding -> Long Coding Helper -> and tick off the box with CAN-BAP Protocol
To activate the hidden-setup-menu :
- Using Vagcom/VCDS -> 37–Navigation -> go into 10-Adaption -> change channel 50 to 1 (will be 0)
