  • Skoda Bluetooth Install

    Hi all,

My fancy new Tig arrives in less that two weeks now, and I am back looking at Bluetooth options...

Does anyone know of a place in Perth (or surrounding area) that will install a skoda bluetooth kit? Either supply and fit, or just fit? I have the RNS-510 fitted.

    Cheers!

    W

    Skoda Bluetooth Install

When I asked him about a Skoda Bluetooth install, the VW rep took a step back & muttered $2600 for the Premium. I matched his step forward and told him to tell VW management to... well you get the idea and he got the gist!

Have the same issue here in Melbourne.
Can anyone please recommend someone who can source, install & service a Skoda Bluetooth Install for the RNS 510 in a Tiguan?

I wonder if the Skoda dealership would be willing to help...

I wonder if he might consider opening another store in Sunny Perth...

Try this link below guys. I purchased my genuine premium vw kit through these people and had it landed for about $700.
There service is excellent and the kit comes complete with wiring harness and factory plugs so it is plug & play. Took me about 3hrs to install myself complete.

Thanks George - this may end up being my only option... I'm not too excited about pulling the dash apart, but having such a flashy computer controlled ride without bluetooth isn't an option either

              What's your ride?

I've heard there can be issues with the MDI not feeding through correctly - have you heard or experienced anything like this?

I'm assuming I would also need to update the VAGCOM to play nice with the MFSW?

                Veebs,

Not sure what the tiguan is like but I have a GTI Pirelli and the install wasn't to bad. I actually installed my unit under the passengers seat and ran the cables around the passenger side door and then behind the glove box. The best part about this is you don't have to pull apart the dash on the MkV you just need to take out the glove box and you can access the plug for the RNS 510 from there. No need to remove the stereo at all.

The tiguan might be slightly different as I don't know where the stereo is in relation to the glove box. If they are around the same height I'm sure you will be able to do it the same way.
I don't have the MDI so not sure what the issues are with this but the bluetooth is complete plug & play. No VAG-COM needed. They will code this for you prior to delivery you just need to provide them with the detail on the car.

Silver.. what was the price fitted? I got my EOS done at Volkspower and it
was about $1450ish. I just got my mum a new Tiguan with 510 and she
lived in Moorabbin it might be cheaper. Also do you have a white cluster?

                      Hi George

so do you have the MFSW? I'd love for the phone button on the steering wheel to work

                        Veebs,

Yes I do have MFSW. These kits are the genuine VW item with the VW part No on them so once connected they intergrate with everything that the car has.

You can answer and hang up using the phone button on the steering wheel as well as reading sms on the MFD and also scrolling through your phone book using steering wheel control. You can basically operate the whole phone via the steering wheel to make or receive calls if you like.

Just dropped my R36 in there tonight to be done the next couple of days whilst I'm interstate. Let you all know how it goes, they are very professional and seem bloody switched on.

I'm also having a RVC installed (wagon) and the in motion override fitted so the price I was quoted wasn't for the BT alone. I'm hopefully picking it up tomorrow night so I'll ask him about the BT install and if he's happy for me to put the price up, otherwise I'll send you a PM.

Reading what others are paying for the BT alone I think you'll be pretty happy with their pricing.

In terms of quality they seem right onto it, they're installing an Audi A4 boot handle with camera so it remains a factory look.
