If you ever have a problem with pairing your iPhone with the VW Car kit, here is the solution. I found the answer in an Apple forum.
The problem - I paired my iPhone with the VW car kit (mine was the normal car kit and not the premium) and was receiving and making calls over the handsfree feature and listening to bluetooth audio in the media. However while trying to pair the new Tom Tom car kit (Iphone, I noted only pairs with one device at a time), I accidentally hit the "forget this device" button on the iPhone. The result was that I could not pair the iPhone again with the VW car kit.
I raised this problem earlier in one off the segments here, but the recommended answer (to reset network settings on the iPhone)did not resolve the problem.
The Solution - Hit "reset all settings" on the iPhone (Settings>General>Reset>Reset All Settings). It will not erase any data but only settings like your home screen etc. Once you have reset, you then pair the iPhone again with the VW car kit as usual.
To the Moderator - Feel free to move it to the right segment, if it not an appropriate new thread. I think it will be an ongoing issue and should stay on the forum, maybe in "Tiguan accessory". I also feel it will be useful for the entire forum.
