  • MkV R32 Sat Nav is poor

    I bought a used MkV R32 12 months ago (12 months old when I bought it) and it came with factory Sat Nav and 6 cd stacker.

    I'd describe the head unit as poor, no touch screen, no MP3.

    If I was to replace it my wish list follows;

    Bluetooth
    Sat Nav
    Mp3
    Hard Disk
    CD
    Retain use of steering wheel controls
    Touch screen

    I have no idea what I have or what to replace it with, suggestions please ?

    Thanks
    Paul

    sounds like you have the earlier model. MY08 and onwards come with the RNS510 unit which is nicely featured. That would be my pic but theyre pretty expensive! You can pick them up from ebay UK for about a grand second hand with warranty but as always its buyer beware

      You have just described the RNS-510 (Skoda call it a Columbus Nav) with the VW 729 Bluetooth kit.

      Here and here for more info on the Bluetooth part.

        Only late MY08's came with the RNS 510. From around March 2008 delivery and January 2008 Builds (might have been a month or so earlier).

        Prior to that it was pretty much all MFD2's.
