Optical Parking System question

Hi,

I have ordered an 09 Passat Wagon and will be changing out the default in dash radio for a Clarion unit.

I know I will loose the Optical Parking System graphics, but can anyone tell me if I will loose the audible "ping" from the front and rear parking sensors?

VW dealer can't tell me, and Autobarn aren't too sure either.

I reckon someone out there must have swapped out their VW radio (with the Optical Parking System), so would be very interested to hear how things worked out for them.
