  • dead reckoning and the RNS510

Has anyone noticed the diffrence in speed between the analog speedo and digital speedo (to be expected) and then the difference between those 2 and the "CAN Vehicle Speed" on the RNS510? I've found that 107km on the analog speed is shown as about 103 on the digital MFD and 100 on the RNS510 under dead reckoning.
Can this be trusted? has anyone compared this to a hand held gps or speed radar ?

I have compared my "CAN Vehicle Speed" to a GPS several times and it is spot on. In my car they agree to the km. So yes I am happy the CAN speed can be trusted. Annoying that you have 4km split between your analog and digital speedos though. Seems you can be lucky with this as mine match. For me both show 106kmh when CAN shows 100kmh when the car is doing 100kmh true speed.
