  • Mk4 iPhone/iPod Setup

Hey there, not sure if this is the correct place to put this, but I had a search and couldnt find anything.

I have a 2004 Golf MkIV, stock stereo etc.

Wanted to know if anyone has a good sollution/setup for hardwiring aux port on stereo or other setup that works with a nice mounting sollution for the MKIV.

    Anyhelp would be great!

hmmm well i dont know if its possible/how hard it is to wire in a AUX port, but there are plenty of other headunits you can get that have them..

As for mounting an iphone, I got this great little plastic holder that clips into the air-con vents.. (got it from a JB-hifi), and does the job nicely which would allow you to easily remove or clip the phone in. Ill post pics of it when i get a chance

Connects2.com have kits for ipod adapters - you might want to move this to the car stereo area to get a better response from the audiophiles who hang there

            yep http://www.vwwatercooled.org.au/newf...splay.php?f=78

It's actually called the 'VW Car Audio and Electronics' - you should be able to move your thread there I think? Heaps of good info, if you search you might find some threads on the subject already!

im in same scenario MK4 GL with no stacker

im looknig into doing same thing.. u can hook up wire to stacker that converts it to RCA plugs and get RCA plug to convert to stereo jack.

              check out this thread http://forums.vwvortex.com/zerothread?id=509131

or http://forums.vwvortex.com/zerothread?id=4605428 as another option to use ipod to control deck as well?

either that or just getting an aftermarket deck
