  • Ceiling mounted DVD for rear passengers.

    Hi all,

Does anyone have any experience with the Alpine PKGRSE2 unit? This is a 10.2" screen and was wondering if that size unit would be too large for a vehicle the size of the Tiguan.

The other option was to have dual headrest monitors, but then there would have to be a player mounted somewhere, if we leave the factory headunit alone and just do a seperate installation for the kids. The issue I have is that these headrest monitors are lower in resolution and clarity, and they would have to cut the factory leather headrests to do the install. Then is there any implication for the curtain airbags, the wiring for the heated seats etc...

That is why the ceiling mounted system appears to be easier and neater.

    Appreciate your feedback....

from the checking i have done on headrest installs they give you a new set of headrests and you keep your originals.

Just arranged to get the roof mounted system as per above pic fitted next week. The headrest monitors are not as high a resolution as the larger ceiling monitor. Not sure if we can plug the supplier, but lets see how it all goes first and I'll let everyone know.
