Standard Head Unit Capabilities

Hi All,

Just a quick question. We have a 06 TSFI Jetta with the standard 6 stacker cd player. Does this headunit hold the ability to add RCA Cables for a new AMP? Or do i need to get a proper installer to add the option?

Hi Steve, there are no RCA outputs.

However i can recommend getting an Audison BitOne.1 processor (not the old one) as you can get heaps of win with this and it has high level (speaker) inputs. If you don't want to go that far then I'd recommend a good amp that accepts high level inputs like the Arc Minis.

You'd be surprised that the head unit isn't the limiting factor and souds great when paired with the right equipment. I've tried several passive line out converters and other amps like the PDX but you get a fair bit of noise.
