Danish made Vifa speakers were very good.
Vifa hasn't been made in Denmark for a while now.
Vifa has been bought out by a Chinese company, and all production is done in China.
Sadly quality control and new designs have all gone down hill, and the new line up introduced into Jaycar stores is utter garbage compared to the old Denmark made product.

Seems to be the way for many of these smaller companies, the Chinese buy them out with their name, start producing in China, shut down the operations in the original country and churn out cheap products using the originals products reputation to sell them at a nice profit.website: www.my-gti.com

They still say Denmark Audio on the box under the log and come with chinese instructions LOL.
They are very decent quality, especialy for the price but i seriously doubt they are anywhere near what they used to be both in quality and price when they where owned and made in denmark.
If the chinese have retained any of the original quality then they should still be better than alot of stuff that is almost twise the price.
People should only worry when it all gets thrown out of the window like Sony Xplod stuff and it only sells because it says Sony on the box.
BTW i work for Jaycar too but when it comes to car audio you have to pay to play and if you want actual no-doubt quality, don't kid yourself, have atleast $350 ready for a pair of splits.Last edited by Spyda; 29-09-2009, 11:34 PM.MK1 GLS 3door
