Please let me know if you are upgrading to another SatNav system or wanting to sell your RNS510. Genuine buyer. Or, can anyone suggest a place to purchase this unit at a realistic price. VW are wanting too much for this unit over similar systems. Cheers Nat

Just a question..
Why do you think VW are selling it for too much?
The RNS510 is 100% compatible with the VW cars.
It integrates into the MFD/Steering wheel controls
You can get a BT module that works 100% of time no problems
Generally it works great.
After reading the 176 page thread on golfmkv.com about the cheaper units Waywell 6050 etc
they have so many bugs its amazing so many people are buying them?
My friend bought one and compared to the 510 its crap. Bluetooth is random, sometime it works sometimes not.
Ipod plays sometimes
Would you not rather spend a bit more and get a proper integrated Nav/Ipod/HDD/MP3?Last edited by whoistheg; 11-08-2009, 09:38 PM.

But seeing as you can't see the value in the RNS 510 this is probably too much.
I suggest the fantastic 6050 unit which is under half that, of course it's not even half as good as the RNS 510, half the features don't work half the time and you'll spent heaps of time trying to get it to operate correctly and possibly end up buying another one to fix half the problems.
$3000 for the unit is a bargain IMO compared to the other units out there. If you used the unit you would see why.website: www.my-gti.com
