There is room yes, but it can be a bit of a pain in the butt. Once you have the adapter cable on the back of the stereo, we found that getting the stereo back into the space was a little tricky as the large cable and plugs needed to be fed down into the gap at the bottom rear of the head unit cavity a little bit. The cables and the unit won't fit in the space at the back of the head unit.
Once the head unit is in though the cable that runs to the Fiscon unit is quite long. I had mine temporarily mounted on the firewall with sticky tape, but re-located it last night to under the center console in front of the gearstick where it squeezed into a nice cosy gap.

thanks for the tip!!!!
I fitted the fiscon after seeing the posts...
THANKS Swallowtail!!! you are RIGHT! there was no way the harness can be squeezed "behind" the HU.. I had to squeeze into some other gaps below.
No probs hannson... glad you got it in OK. Have you VAGCOM coded so it integrates with the MFD?
Hi Swallowtail
I've VAGCOM Module 19, byte 5.. to enable TELEPHONE.
I'm using a RNS510.. and the MFD integration works well! I hope that's all the coding required
I do have 1 peculiar problem.
I noticed today that sometimes after a call, the RNS510 cannot exit the "MUTE" mode, no matter what I did e.g. tried changing to Radio, to DVD, etc... it stays "Mute"
Then after about 10 minutes, it "unmute" itself?!?!
I'm using firmware 1.83 (downloaded from kufatec) and a Windows Mobile 6 phone (eten / acer DX900).

Anyone has similar issues?
Yup that's all the coding needed I think. All I did anyway! Haven't had that issue with the mute...
Try doing a quick bluetooth disconnect and reconnect?
