Golf VI's Media In adapter

Any one went to dealer to ask the ipod compatibility with new "Media In" adapter comes with Golf VI's RCD310?
Does it show song titles on the head unit? Does it charge the iPhone 3G(iTouch 2G)?
I currently have a Golf pacific, if the new RCD310 is iPod-friendly, I'm considering to change to RCD310+Media In, is it possible??
