A little more info on your car, such as modifications to enhance performance etc can make a big difference on the choice of clutch to suit. Is it a 1.8t in your mk4 pictured?

AP and Tilton make the nicest clutches I've used. I have an AP sprung centre paddle clutch in mine and it's great. The friction disc was $650, and then it has a Sachs VWM pressure plate and hardware (another $590) but you do get what you pay for
