Welcome to the new look VWWatercooled

After much work and little sleep there is a new version of the forums running on more powerful and recent hardware as well as an upgraded software platform.

Things are mostly the same, but some things are a little different. We will be learning together, so please post questions (and answers if you've worked things out) in the help thread.

The new forum software is an upgraded version of what came before, it's mostly the same but also a little different. Hopefully easier to use and more stable than before. We are learning together here, so please be patient. If you have questions, please post them here. If you have worked something out and can provide an answer,

It could just be the sensor - but the sensor is not sold separately.

That spiel sounds like BS to me too.
I would have had the stock file put back on but hindsight is a bit useless now I know. Did the tune even modify the pressure ? I'd actually be surprised if it did.

unless they can prove the remap has caused the pump to fail; ill fight to the death to have this fixed under warranty.

the sucky thing is, its 2 days to Christmas and I may not have a car. and I bet they wont be willing to give me a loaner.

been offline for a bit, didn't have a chance to reply.

went to the dealer to pay for it just so I can have the car back - after my multiple calls to skoda aust and posting on their FB wall and also private messages to them - as I was about to pay the $1600+ bill, they phoned me and I didn't pay a cent.

agreed the car WAS still under warranty, they will fix it their end, and my car has been back on the road and is running well again

thanks all for your input, dealer was a bit squeamish after seeing the mods on my car (nothing too serious) but agreed the remap didn't cause the problem.

              absolutely!

however, the parts prices were HORRIBLE! $777 just for the pump! but they replaced all the piping/tubing too (I bet it was unnecessary) knowing I would have to pay out of my own pocket.

Anyway, car is back and running well again
