I know of another TSI Octavia owner who has one. He has the same outcome as me.
I find that it doesn't open lower down in the RPM and I get a little flutter.
basically, its fimer spring that can hold higher boost, but still retaining the factory solenoid. unlike some other kits that convert to a vacuum type BOV which IMO is slower to activate/react.
I installed this in case I had the old diverter which is prone to tearing
I found that my car actually had the newer diverter
Absolutely no difference in percieved performance
Even looking at the data - hard to spot the difference
2012.1 Skoda Octavia VRS DSG Wagon - Carbonio cold air intake and pipe - HPA Motorsports BBK 355mm rotors 6 pot calipers
APR Stage II ECU - APR 3" exhaust down pipe & high flow catalyst
APR/HP Roll bars - Eibach springs and Bilstien shocks
Supaloy lower control arms - Enkei 18*8 Wheels
Thanks all.
I read our vortex friends 4 pages of comments, and noted some saw perceived throttle response gains, some saw no improvement, and some recorded a poorer outcome over stock. Those with a DSG box would see least benefit due to the car doing a faster gear change than humanly possible. Those with late model MkVIs are also likely to have the better OEM valve.
So...as a late model 2013 DSG owner, I think I'll pass on this mod.

Guy what is the revision number for the newer plastic version? I wanna check mine now that you've said that
The Pirelli comes with a factory diaphragm DV. I think the upgraded DV that Guy is talking about is the piston type DV, Revision D (part number: 06H145710D). Can pick one up for around $75. I replaced the DV on mine and there were no signs of tearing but nothing like having a clean piece of mind
