Welcome to the new look VWWatercooled

After much work and little sleep there is a new version of the forums running on more powerful and recent hardware as well as an upgraded software platform.

Things are mostly the same, but some things are a little different. We will be learning together, so please post questions (and answers if you've worked things out) in the help thread.

The new forum software is an upgraded version of what came before, it's mostly the same but also a little different. Hopefully easier to use and more stable than before. We are learning together here, so please be patient. If you have questions, please post them here. If you have worked something out and can provide an answer,

Heh, yeah, nothing sounds like a Rex
And funny how you can never tell which direction the Rex sound is coming from

I usually go there as well, and I got my apr stage 1 tune done there. They are pretty good, I usually wait about a month for a service, but for a tune I didn't have to wait at all. My car uses a bit of oil so they told me to pop in after work for a top up when ever it runs out of oil and I usually have a spare 0.5L bottle in the boot which they top up when when I service the car, and then last time the guy in the office (not sure what his name is) told me that they usually charge for that, so I was a bit disappointed. Im sure that they can include it for free if they charge $290 for a regular service (oil change and a filter).

Ouch - that's right up there with dealer servicing charges
