Welcome to the new look VWWatercooled

After much work and little sleep there is a new version of the forums running on more powerful and recent hardware as well as an upgraded software platform.

Things are mostly the same, but some things are a little different. We will be learning together, so please post questions (and answers if you've worked things out) in the help thread.

The new forum software is an upgraded version of what came before, it's mostly the same but also a little different. Hopefully easier to use and more stable than before. We are learning together here, so please be patient. If you have questions, please post them here. If you have worked something out and can provide an answer,

  • Golf GTI Carbonio Intake

    Hi everyone,
Noob question, is there any difference if any in regards to the stage 1 carbonio intake from APR and ECS Tune?

    Thanks

ECS is the largest APR distributor in the US.... but you won't get any warranty/support if you buy from overseas

All Carbonio intakes are same with same part number. You may even find one from Ebay too. But considering all exchange rate and shipping cost it may not worth the risk and trouble.

Good timing, this thread popping up!

I just installed this intake on my Tig this morning (the only difference is that i needed a small mounting bracket ($20) to mount the intake to the front of my car). The only trouble i had was compressing the spring clamp behind the MAF sensor when putting it all back together... Thanks to Lucas_R for coming to the rescue!

My question is how well does this type of filter work at actually filtering??
