            So what's the gains to be had for a bog standard GTi currently at 155kw ?
            The web site is vague and their dyno graphs look fudged;

            The graph key says factory is dotted black line, and Tarmac is dotted blue line. Just solid black and solid green lines. Suggest the graph and key were not produced at the same time

                These would still require a bench tune first wouldn't they?

                  The graphs are stylised because real data isnt pretty enough for the average consumer

                    "Real data?" - be nice to see what the real data actually looked like. Always thought that style should at least match function - in this case why not 'stylise' the key to the graph so the colours at least match.

                    On a serious note though - what are typical values after the modification? I think APR claim 189kW on a stage 1 mod...

                      Excellent spotting on the colours not matching. Guess i was too busy to pick that up. Surely it is obvious though that our results are the green lines though? I will fix the colour miss match up.

                      This is the legit original dyno graph. As Tim states below. You need to make the graphs look pretty for the average consumer and in brochures that are handed out to the public. The results are the same.

                        I should also mention APR is an American company. I have never seen there claimed results make what they say. They also claim power at the engine. Not at the wheels on a roller dyno. Cheap Hub dynos dont count when 95% of the industry uses roller dynos.

                          most tuners should see between 160-170kw at the wheels for a car with intake and downpipe so the figure above is up there. It does vary a lot from dyno to dyno though so who knows. The figures arent easy to compare unless theyre side by side.

                          If you minus the drivetrain loss from 189kw its about 155ish at the wheels.

                            This^ This is how competitors in the industry get along. 95% of the time Tim and i will agree with each others comments. Different state, different company. Different products.

                              Just a thought, maybe it would be a good idea to advertise the power rating as "at the wheels."

                              Also, does BPS run an AWD dyno
