DSG tuning in perth...

hi all, currently sitting on stage 3 bluefin tune (2010 golf r). will be upgrading to gtx turbo in two months (same as apr stage 3, but not apr). Im starting to get a little worried about finding a vendor in perth who can flash my dsg, so it will handle the increased torque. from the multiple discussions on the forums.. its limited to 350nm???

im very surprised at the lack of vendors in perth.. seems like their all sitting in nsw?!

can someone please suggest any options? (i dont want to ship my mechatronic off, its my daily driver after all)

CPC here in Sydney do an excellent job I have to say and they may do trips over your way as I know they regularly do so on the east coast.
In particular as you are going to be using the GT28xxGTX beasty you will most likely need to alter all of the Shift points as well as the launch RPM and so on and they can do this to whatever you desire. Perhaps the others can now though
A Totally altered and street usable D mode is also worth it on its own.

All of our big turbo Golf R's, GTI's & Scirocco's get altered big turbo DSG software. Shift points is only one of a dozen variables changed for BT. Clamp force at torque onset is probably the most important.

i sort of wondered about just putting in a bigger turbo and not touching the dsg, but the more i read, the more im convinced about tuning the dsg and clutch packs at the same time as the gtx upgrade. cheers for ur input

You have to think of the DSG the same as you would a manual. Ultimately it has clutch friction plates which are built to handle a certain amount of torque.

In a manual you would upgrade the pressure plate firstly, and possibly the friction plate to handle torque. It's exactly the same with a DSG - only in this case, your pressure plate is software

I've got the HP dsg tune and am very happy with it. Adrian was asking me about clutch packs the other day actually, I figured it was for your car. You'll have to take me for a spin once the BT is done

Its similar but with a lot less cost and with the HPA option don't think the D mode was altered very much - at least in the cars I have driven with this flash anyway. The CPC one is done then and there, online with a cluey German (also a keen Golf R owner) to your specs. It can also be modified to suit a non standard - custom setup too and this is something we'll be doing shortly

I was going to offer these myself and I already have the software to do so but the time involved to set up all the mapping properly would just negate any point in doing it from a $$ point of view so I'm happy to point the guys toward CPC atm.
I'm sure there are other good options too
