Welcome to the new look VWWatercooled

After much work and little sleep there is a new version of the forums running on more powerful and recent hardware as well as an upgraded software platform.

Things are mostly the same, but some things are a little different. We will be learning together, so please post questions (and answers if you've worked things out) in the help thread.

The new forum software is an upgraded version of what came before, it's mostly the same but also a little different. Hopefully easier to use and more stable than before. We are learning together here, so please be patient. If you have questions, please post them here. If you have worked something out and can provide an answer,

  • Aftermarket intakes and fuel trim issues

I know there have been thousands of posts in regards to aftermarket intakes
    What brand is better
What type is better ie filter on a stick or ram air intake etc
This thread isnt designed to tell you what is or isnt.
What it is, is a link to a thread in which allot of research and posts of logs have been posted up, very educational and may even help some people out there who are having similar issues, this may help you out.
Also if you are in the market for a intake it will help you make a more informed decision before handing over your hard earned moolah.

Has been mentioned (the issue and thread) before, here and on the other main VW Australian forum.

Lets just say it is isn't a simple issue (or solution)

Yeah from reading the thread it definitely doesn't have a straight forward solution
