Welcome to the new look VWWatercooled

After much work and little sleep there is a new version of the forums running on more powerful and recent hardware as well as an upgraded software platform.

Things are mostly the same, but some things are a little different. We will be learning together, so please post questions (and answers if you've worked things out) in the help thread.

The new forum software is an upgraded version of what came before, it's mostly the same but also a little different. Hopefully easier to use and more stable than before. We are learning together here, so please be patient. If you have questions, please post them here. If you have worked something out and can provide an answer,

  • Access Code for APR

    Hi Guys,

I bought my car with an existing tune already on it and believe it may be from APR.

I was wondering if there is any way to find out the access code ie. if it is the same as the last four digits of the chassis or radio code etc.

If someone knows if there is some way to find it out, can you please let me know (via PM if it is a security concern).

    Thanks!

Probably best if you visit your nearest APR Dealer or PM Guy on this forum. When I got my APR tune I chose my own 4 digit code. Did the previous owner give you the code?

    Hope that helps!

Yep, the security & Anti theft PIN number is set at the time of the APR programming.

It's only recorded at that stage, so if the original owner does not have it, then the car will have to be reprogrammed & the PIN reset at an APR dealer (providing it does have APR software in it).
