Installing a fuel surge tank in boot.

Just wondering if anybody in Victoria install fuel surge tanks.
I am in the process of gathering info to install 1 in my Golf Mk1.
Has anybody on the forum done a DIY surge tank? (Maybe Peter Jones)?
All help will be appreciated.

How much power are you making to justify a surge tank ?

Ive noticed on the last track day that the fuel pump died in the ass. Ive upgraded the fuel pump, but need a surge tank to make sure the car dont surge on the racetrack with all the fuel sloshing around.
