Welcome to the new look VWWatercooled

After much work and little sleep there is a new version of the forums running on more powerful and recent hardware as well as an upgraded software platform.

Things are mostly the same, but some things are a little different. We will be learning together, so please post questions (and answers if you've worked things out) in the help thread.

    My week-end car work

    G'day all,

    So my stuff arrived from ECS today, and it time to install this weekend.
    1. 4 bar fpr
    2. 008 Forge DV
    3. N75 race valve (this will be interesting)

    I have also started getting knock on my front suspension, so it seems as though I will need to investigate -- rather frustrating. Will let you know my views on the above mods.

    My Polo 9n3:
    This was a nice and easy install for a change...
    1. the fpr took a few minutes, an easy swap.
    2. the forge 008 dv -- this is very nice mod. firstly, the quality of the valve is very good. i got the matt black, and it really was well presented. i put in 1 shim and the yellow spring (rated 15-23Psi). you can really hear a very nice sound when it opens..a nice wooosh.
    3. the n75 valve...it seems ok, the turbo may be smoother, but without putting it on a dyno, diffcult to say. either way, it was a quick easy fit.

    and the knock on my suspensions, well that will have to wait for another day. i was however told that it may be my strut bearings that need to be replaced...so its an excuse to buy something new

        i know...i know....
        i have modified quite a few cars already, and this was going to be different. i was going to leave it std; but no, i have started again.
        i already have a few mod's completed, and maybe its time i start a thread on my mods
