  • Intake Cam Rev B for MKV GTI

So I bought one of these brand new with all the bits on eBay for $125. Can someone advise what else should be replaced at the same time as this? Im thinking Cam follower? Would it be wise to get a HPFP replaced at the same time?

Was that the one in Brisbane Paul? Are you sure yours is the early one? I'd go with a follower but I don't think you need to fit a pump, unless you want more power.

      Hey Gav,

Not sure, but given that mine is 05 its most likely that it is. And it does sound like a diesel at idle which is another common trait. It was pretty cheap and brand new so i thought what the hell. Not sure I need more power to be honest this thing is brutal. Even after fitting the coilovers, sways and wider rims and tyres traction is difficult if you dont feed it in initially. I even had wheel spin in third today on the freeway! Oh that is just b4 the engine died and my EPC light came back on again.

Got my new R32 pedal set today so hoping this might fix the epc issue.
