    Golf R exhaust upgrade

    Hi Guys,

    Im new to this forum stuff but I have just ordered my new Golf R DSG (4 weeks away) and will want to get and upgrade exhaust.

    I have been looking online at the Milltek cat back systems. Can anyone give me some recommendations for a cat back system and an idea of cost? Im just looking for a more aggressive note....

    Also im in WA so any idea of dealers I could go see? Or is buying it online and getting someone to fit it a better idea?

    Hi, mate, congrats on your new R, when will it arrival? I am strongly recommend you contact Rennenhaus . They can get Millteck at very good price and I am recon u buy Millteck cat back without Resonated. It can give your very noticeable sound. Hope hear a good news from you very soon.

      It really depends what you want.

      Catbacks don't tend to offer performance, really just a asound upgrade.
      Best bet is to look at some youtube videos of exhaust upgrades.

      I coudln't be botherd paying 2k for a catback system so i just got the rear muffler deleted and i couldn't be happier with it.
      Also cost 1/4 of the price of a "real" system and is completely reversible.

        We are looking at doing full titanium exhausts for the Golf R in the new year which will be a lot cheaper than whats currently on offer. We are using our car as a test bed for it.

          My advice is to shop around. I bought my milltek catback for the GTI from the UK for around $900 delivered whereas here would have cost $1400 delivered (also shipped from the UK)!!!!! I used design911.com but unfortunately they dont list the golf R on their site yet.

            I only ordered it yesterday and delivery will be in the last week of Nov So happy with the guys at VW Osb Park

              Congrats on your order mate, will be good to see another R on Perth streets. What specs did you opt for?
