  • 18 or 19 Inch Wheels???

Hey guys, Im new to this forum! I bought a Black 2003 Bora 4Motion Sport about six months ago and am now looking for some aftermarket wheels. Im buying the XHP Jet Black wheels but dont know whether to go with 18's or 19's. The car currently has standard optioned 17"s and is a little lower than standard boras being the sports.

Does anyone have any opinions. ie, will it scrub? Will the 18's look to small ect? Help will be much appreciated!

    Cheers
    Nathan

I would go for 18s for ride quality ect.

        id go 19's
i have the audi replicas 19's on my MK4 lowered 40mm front 50mm back. front wheels rub slightly on a full turn, only due to the width of the wheels. does not rub anywhere else. especially seeing u have the bora being a bigger car 19's will look sweet.
u get use to ur wheels pretty quick they start looking smaller and smaller as time goes on. i should have gone with 20's lol

haha cheers! Ill have to post some pics up sometime soon. Its slowly starting to drift away from stock but these cars look awasome as they are so you dont have to do much to make them stand out! Yeah i was thinking the 19's but im looking at around an extra 500 for all 4 with tires. What size tires do you have VWEAPN? Does $1650 sound fair for a set of 18's with tires? Or $2100 for 19's? And I want them for a bit of show but dont want to lose the ride comfort also. Cheers for the tips so far!

ye i was thinking of getting a bora they're heaps nice, 225/35 maybe go fo 40's for a better ride, the right suspension is the key to comfort

ye the prices sound fair i purchased my 19's for 2400 a yr ago, im sure theyre about 2200 now so u r looking at that price range, and that is with just some decent tyres nothing too crazy.

thats abit expensive, i bought my 19s for 1900 dollars with tyres and fitting about 4 months ago. dont know where you are from but if your in sydney theres a good place in brookvale called good spanners who do really good deals.

u cant compare apples with oranges. My 16" wheels and tyres cost me $3000.

Cheap 19" rims are most likely gonna be really really heavy and not overly strong. Not a good combination when youre gonna have low profile tyres on there.
