Has any one dealt with or heard anything about James Race engines in Felmington VIC Engine Action | Engine Rebuilders |James Race Engines. As Im trying to find somewhere to rebuild it to high spec i.e pistons rods etc. Any feedback much apprecited.

Welcome to the new look VWWatercooled
After much work and little sleep there is a new version of the forums running on more powerful and recent hardware as well as an upgraded software platform.

As far as machinework, balancing and assembly, I hear good things about Duggans Balancing in Resevoir. A friend who builds some serious V8s and also 4cyls only deals with them.Last edited by Preen59; 01-06-2011, 08:48 PM.

Cheers Preeny will keep you posted if I need anything, at present looking to stay NA (ITB's) with new pistons, rods, crankshaft balancing, blueprinting, cams, headwork with new valves, followers and guides. Just waiting to see what these guys offer, spoke over the phone they want to do some tests and other stuff first before talking specs.

Yeah need to get my ass in to gear want it ready SEDF, and trying to do the audi at the mo for Canberra in Sept.
