So after some issues with my DSG and VW claiming its 'normal' ( 2 flashes later/mechatronic unit tested) I decided to look elsewhere..
Car: 2007 R32 (mildly modified)
Past issues: wouldn’t hold gears at low speeds and always dropping to 1 (i.e. driving over a speed hump when in 2nd or 3rd). On the track it would be what I felt as slow to down shift from 4th to 2nd and I would find myself sitting there with no power etc
After 500km of driving over the weekend (hills / highway / street) for due testing the result is fantastic!
- 7250 RPM
- 3700 LC (requested 4200RPM update when available)
- Faster up/downshifting whilst matching revs fantastically
- DSG farts seem to be more crisp/louder?
I also installed the Haldex Gen II about 6 months ago and with the race setting selected and new LC limit the car really gets up from a standing start with minimal wheel spin!
Whole exercise took less than 20 minutes with a backup of my stock flash if needed for a rainy day.
Having already flashed my ecu with giac I thought I would keep it in the family and actually surprised what a difference it has made – ive been given a week to trail it more but unless it rolls over to its predecessor I think it will be a keeper
