Welcome to the new look VWWatercooled

After much work and little sleep there is a new version of the forums running on more powerful and recent hardware as well as an upgraded software platform.

Things are mostly the same, but some things are a little different. We will be learning together, so please post questions (and answers if you've worked things out) in the help thread.

The new forum software is an upgraded version of what came before, it's mostly the same but also a little different. Hopefully easier to use and more stable than before. We are learning together here, so please be patient. If you have questions, please post them here. If you have worked something out and can provide an answer,

  • DeanCorp GTI Pirelli Dyno @ RE Customs GIAC Stg 2+

    Hi All,

I had the day off today and decided to head down to RE Customs for a dyno which was long overdue for the new file they had been working on for me.

While I was on their the operator recognised me and said he did a Golf R recently, I know whose it is but have blurred it out for their own privacy, I managed to get it mapped over eachother for comparison. From what I remember it is also a Stg 2+ car, I just thought i'd post it for interest/comparison purposes only.

I am not sure what went on with their AFR?

DeanCorp GTI Pirelli Stg 2+ - Green
    Golf R Stg 2+ - Black

    Cheers,

    Dean

All the power comes from the stubby antenna anyway!

Sweet result, only one question, why no correction data on the bottom of the dyno sheet? R/R IT/AT temps? Would be interesting to see whats going on with the boost/KR as it goes all lean? These cars are really going to give the EVO10/Scobby Snack a hard time, 200+wkw and resale lol

                      Interesting!
Do you have a simliar view for the Golf R?
Would be interesting to see if temps were similar
The AFR fluctuation on R graph looks scary!

Yep the AFR does look scary! I don't have any other information to provide you about the Golf R perhaps if the owner has anything else, feel free to upload in here.

The operator of the dyno when he Did the R I seemed to think there was nothing in it.
Im no dyno expert but he didnt have any concern about it when i quized it.

It might just be the muffler playing silly buggers with the analyser. If he logged it with vagcom at the time of the run you'd see of course
I'd like to see the stock and modified runs of the r with data
Deans looks ok nice amount of boost too
